Still sculpture

These works include stationary sculpture or pieces hung directly on/protruding slightly from the wall. Depending on the type of work or the orientation, these pieces catch light and produce shadow without significantly changing the shape of the piece. As the light moves (such as from sunrise to sunset or placement of artificial light) shadows change dramatically, casting wonderful images across the wall.

Kinetic sculpture

These works hang from the ceiling or a bracket. They flow freely depending on how they are hung. Sometimes the entire mobile moves and turns, and sometimes only the elements hanging. Placement, heat, draft, fans, foot traffic—all can influence the movement of the sculpture. Lighting effects can produce great drama through moving shadow and reflection.
