The egg. The ultimate symbol of femininity. Beautiful in shape, form and function. Precarious, Fragile and Valuable. Vulnerable, Powerful and Necessary. Perched atop a stack of shelf glass from my grandfathers 1940s clothing store, and balanced again atop the spires of nails, sits a lone Emu egg. Precious reminds us that all can be lost in a heartbeat, and to acknowledge that beauty is found right here, right now in the preciousness of the present moment.
